Tri-band readers & tags
RFTRAQ’s suite of asset tracking products uniquely includes its Tri-Band Tags and Readers which are able, fully automatically, to autonomously switch international frequencies between:
- Europe (868MHz standard),
- USA (915 MHz standard)
- Asia (900 MHz standard).
Thus, for example, when a tagged asset or container which has been transmitting at 868 MHz in Europe, then arrives in the USA, RFTRAQ's reader will automatically switch the tag over to the local 915 MHz standard.
One RFTRAQ tag can now replace what would have required 3 different tags while conforming to standards in three regions around the world and, similarly, a single reader can now do the job of three.
RFTRAQ is able, additionally to provide 433MGz tags which use an open frequency, but has not to date had the demand to do so in Europe, given the ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute) standard for the region being 868MHz.
