STRAQ Director
STRAQ Director is an integral part of the STRAQ AMP asset tracking and management platform. STRAQ Director actively gathers the data from your readers as assets are tracked from place to place, connecting to multiple readers simultaneously and ensuring data transmission to STRAQ AMP . Capable of running on Windows and Linux operating systems, STRAQ Director lies at the heart of our scalable an robust enterprise platform.
Key functionality
STRAQ Director is fundamental in the collection of all types of data from asset tracking tags. STRAQ Director also manages the physical equipment deployed to capture data in geographically disparate locations including readers and gateways.
More specifically STRAQ Director has:
The ability to collect tag data from remote devices using TCP/IP and serial* communications. STRAQ Director can also work over GPRS/3G communications for specific requirements.
- Fully multi-threaded architecture for Windows and Linux (via Mono.NET)
- The ability to remotely monitor and troubleshoot connection issues in real time.
- The ability to support additional vendor protocols (such as UDAP) for interoperability with other RFID software packages exchanging data and commands with active RFID readers.
- The ability to store and forward data from connected readers to the STRAQ AMP system, thereby coping with potentially unreliable network conditions.
- The ability to remotely control and configure other STRAQ Director instances on any system (network connectivity permitting).
