Warehouse tracking solutions
A fully automated asset tracking system provides automated, real time visibility of goods and assets within a warehouse or site environment, where tagged goods or containers are seen all the time by readers installed on walls and other fixed infrastructure.
A principle barrier to successfully deploying an active RFID based system in a warehouse environment is the very high signals density or number of signals emitted by tens of thousands of tags in a confined environment.
RFTRAQ has successfully overcome this and related issues:-
- RFTRAQ’s readers and gateways have the capacity to read tens of thousands of assets;
- RFTRAQ’s patented multi channel technology is collision free i.e. signals emitted from tags do not collide with each other;
- RFTRAQ also uses the US, European and Asian Standard frequencies (respectively 915 MGz, 868MGz, and 900Mgz respectively) so that:
- 433MGz is an open frequency used for consumer goods and is therefore populated by for example car alarms and other household goods using RF;
- Wireless is similarly an open frequency for Business users and is populated with PC and other commonly used devices in business
- RFTRAQ’s readers are zoned so that each of the three antenna on a single reader can read discrete different areas or zones, to provide higher granularity for asset tracking within a confined environment;
- RFTRAQ is thus able to easily install collision free Active RFID systems in potentially very crowded and densely tagged environments.
